Director

George Asbury is a Director in the Transaction Opinions practice based in the London office. He has advised limited partner advisory committees, special committees, boards of directors, and shareholders across EMEA in a variety of corporate transactions.

During the past 7 years at Kroll, George has provided fairness opinions and solvency opinions in the context of mergers & acquisitions, GP-led secondary transactions, LP-led secondary transactions, leveraged buyouts, spin-offs, and dividend recapitalizations. He also has experience providing valuations to a range of private equity clients for portfolio valuation purposes under IPEV guidelines.

George has experience across a broad range of industries, including consumer products, financial services, energy, healthcare, media and technology, among others. George has executed engagements for corporations and private equity groups, including Advent, Antin, Apollo, Clayton Dubilier & Rice, Dragoneer, KKR & Co., Morgan Stanley, Permira, SoftBank Group and TPG, among others.

Some of George’s recent fairness opinion engagements include rendering opinions to; (i) BPEA EQT in connection with the merger of Vistra with Tricor, (ii) capiton AG in connection with a continuation fund transaction involving the sale of two unrealized private investments to a new investment vehicle that will be capitalized by one or more new investors, and (iii) Palladium Equity Partners in connection with a continuation fund transaction involving the sale of three unrealized private investments to a new investment vehicle managed by the same general partner.
George holds a BSc in Accounting and Financial Management from Loughborough University.
