Ken Whittingham

Ken Whittingham is a managing director in the Restructuring practice, based in the Sydney office. He has over 35 years of experience in restructuring and turnaround advisory.

Prior to joining Kroll, Ken was a partner at PwC in the firm’s Deals group. At PwC, Ken assisted the firm in transitioning a major restructuring merger. Before PwC, Ken was at PPB Advisory where he served as a partner and board member, and before that, he was a partner, executive board member and business leader of the insolvency practice at BDO. 

Ken provides restructuring and turnaround advice to the major banks, financiers, and large and medium size legal and accounting firms. His expertise includes corporate restructuring (informal turnaround, voluntary administration, receiverships and liquidations), corporate structure simplification, insolvency services and informal advise to lenders, borrowers and their advisors. 

He has experience in a number of industries, including property and construction, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, marinas and printing. Ken has completed many assignments for Australian clients, including a hotel receivership in Gold Coast; the liquidation and deed for Lehman Brothers Australia; receivership for Provident Capital; and marinas in Gold Coast, Brisbane, Airlie Beach and Martha Cove, Victoria. 

Ken received a Bachelor of Business degree from the University of Technology Sydney. He is a Chartered Accountant and Registered Liquidator. In addition, he is a member of the Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association (ARITA), the Turnaround Management Association and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
