Javed leverages over 18 years of experience at Big Four firms specializing in governance, process and control assessment, regulatory and controls assurance, organizational design and regulatory change and transformation within financial services firms. He also has extensive experience in supporting firms during supervisory reviews and audits, ensuring they are well-prepared for regulatory visits.
Prior to joining Kroll, Javed spent 12 years at EY, where he advised global and UK Banks (G-SIBs and UK D-SIBs ) on navigating complex regulations and risk management challenges. He has supported these firms in managing intricate risks and regulatory requirements including Market Abuse Regulation, MiFID II, Senior Manager & Certification Regime, Operational Resilience and Consumer Duty by collaborating closely with Chief Controls Officers, Heads of Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit. Before that, Javed worked with KPMG in their Financial Services Assurance function. His extensive work experience spans the UK, India, UAE and Oman. Additionally, Javed also has served as Business Manager in the first line of defence at a global bank.
Javed holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) degree and is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI). He has also completed the Oxford Executive Leadership Programme conducted by Saïd Business School, Oxford University.
