Janine has extensive experience valuing preferred and common equity as well as derivative securities; advising both foreign and domestic buyers, sellers and joint venture partners involved in mergers and acquisitions; valuing tangible and intangible assets consistent with the provisions of ASC 805 and IFRS 3 in connection with the allocation of purchase price; and analyzing recorded goodwill for potential impairment in connection with the adoption of as well as annual testing pursuant to ASC 350 and IAS 36. Her industry experience includes: high technology, communications (including cell towers), medical devices and pharmaceutical, biotechnology, professional services, consumer products and retail.
Janine joined Kroll (formerly Duff & Phelps) in conjunction with the merger of Standard & Poor’s Corporate Value Consulting with Duff & Phelps. Previously, she was with the valuation services group at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. She began her career in the Audit Group in the Boston office of Price Waterhouse.
Janine received her J.D. and M.B.A. from the University of California and her B.S. in economics from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a certified public accountant in Massachusetts and a chartered financial analyst (CFA) charterholder. Janine is also a member of the CFA Institute, the Boston Security Analysts Society, the American Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Board of Project Hope, a non-profit organization.
