Before joining Kroll, Myles was a founding partner of Kirby Healy Chartered Accountants, a specialist corporate restructuring and insolvency practice based in Dublin. Prior to that, he served as a partner at another Dublin-based firm for 12 years.
Myles has acted in several high-profile cases, including serving as plaintiff in litigation involving fraudulent dispositions in MPS Global Ltd and Citywest Hire Ltd. He was appointed liquidator of the Irish branch of McArthur Group Ltd by the High Court in 2014 which is a leading case involving the European Insolvency Regulations.
Myles is on the Revenue Commissioners panel of liquidators, and his cases include fraud investigations and litigation. On his application, the High Court disqualified a company director in Pembroke Dynamic Internet Services Ltd for a period of 16 years, the longest period of disqualification ever imposed by the High Court. Notable recent appointments include a company involved in a global billion-euro Ponzi scheme and a large group of development companies.
His expertise has been featured in the Irish Independent, the Sunday Business Post, the Irish Times, the Currency and RTÉ News, where he has contributed insights on corporate fraud and restructuring trends. Myles has given lectures for professional bodies on insolvency and was the course moderator for Chartered Public Accountant’s recent Diploma in Forensic Accounting.
Myles holds a Bachelor of Civil Law from University College Dublin and is a Fellow Chartered Accountant. He is also a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner and a Barrister-at-Law (non-practicing).
