New York, NY – Kroll, the leading independent provider of global financial and risk advisory solutions, today announced that Brian Lichter, Managing Director, and Heidi Wachs, Managing Director, have joined Kroll as Global Co-Heads of Complex Digital Events (CDE). The CDE team will be responsible for bespoke and high-impact client engagements, including expert witness services, for rapidly evolving areas such as digital forensics, cyber-related litigation, intellectual property (IP) and trade secret theft, as well as regulatory, national security investigations and advisory work. They will work closely with Kroll’s law firm intermediary partners worldwide.

Together, they further elevate our end-to-end cyber and protection capabilities, by helping clients stay ahead of accelerating threats, reducing risk with confidence and building resilient strategies that endure.”
Burg continues, “Brian brings a rare combination of experience: as a federal prosecutor, law firm attorney, and lead cyber counsel for a Fortune 500 company, along with trusted relationships across the legal and corporate community. His perspective and credibility will be instrumental as we deepen and expand the support we provide to law firms and corporate clients."
"Heidi brings equally substantive leadership, with deep expertise in complex investigations involving the collection, use and governance of data coupled with experience as a practicing attorney, chief privacy officer and identity management analyst.”
Most recently, Brian was Managing Director at risk management firm Stroz Friedberg, LLC, where he led investigations into cyberattacks, IP theft and regulatory matters, directed enterprise-wide and high-impact security assessments and served as a consulting and testifying expert in cyber-related litigation.
“I am thrilled to join Kroll and further its legacy as the trusted partner for protection, risk mitigation and resilience. The team’s unmatched depth in incident response, investigations, offensive security and risk advisory services is exactly what today’s law firms need to help their clients address the most critical crises and regulatory and litigation challenges.
