Kroll, the global leader in risk mitigation and response solutions, announced today that Richard Faughnan has joined the firm as a managing director in its Investigations and Disputes practice. Faughnan will be based in New York.

Faughnan brings years of experience working in a variety of industries and markets investigating, identifying and mitigating risks and other business challenges. In addition, he has led monitorships involving major infrastructure projects, construction contractors and other government service providers in a variety of industries.
Previously, Faughnan served as co-leader of the Public Sector and Monitoring practice at Navigant Consulting. At Navigant he led a wide range of integrity monitorships and complex investigations for public and private sector clients, often involving multimillion-dollar fraud schemes.
Before joining Navigant Consulting, Faughnan was an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, where he served as Chief of the Public Integrity Section, supervising investigations and prosecutions of government corruption and government fraud. Prior to his appointment as Assistant U.S. Attorney, Faughnan served as Deputy Chief of the Appeals Bureau at the Office of the District Attorney of Kings County.
Faughnan holds a J.D. from The George Washington University, National Law Center and is a member of the American Bar Association, Association of the Bar of the City of New York and Federal Bar Council.
