Mark Turner, Managing Director in the Compliance and Regulatory Consulting practice at Duff & Phelps, was featured in Global Risk Regulator discussing how stress testing has developed since the financial crisis, and how financial regulators are likely to make changes to their regimes to keep pace with evolving risks and confirm with political priorities.
“I think it is helpful to have multiple sets of regulators coming up with their own ideas as to effective,” says Mark, who was also once a senior risk consultant at the UK’s Prudential Regulation Authority. Mark believes banks should engage with national regulators and use their relationships these authorities to iron out conflicts that might arise from different stress testing regimes.
