Corey Maurer is a Director at Kroll, where he is focused on advising tech companies on mergers & acquisitions and raising capital.

Corey’s clients have included founder-owned, venture-backed and PE-backed businesses across several sub-sectors of tech and across diverse transaction types including sell-side and buy-side M&A and private financings of equity and debt. His recent closed transactions includes: the sale of BatchLeads and BatchDialer, a leading provider of property intelligence software for real estate professionals to Propstream (a subsidiary of Stewart Title); the merger between xFact, an innovative technology and business solutions firm focused on serving public sector organizations and DataServ; the sale of Magzter, the world's largest self-service, cross-platform digital newsstand to Verse; the sale of LuxSci, a leading provider of secure communication software to Main Capital Partners; the sale of Resonate, a leading consumer intelligence software provider to Zelnick Media Capital (ZMC), the sale of whiteCryption, a leading provider of application shielding software to Zimperium (a portfolio company of Warburg Pincus and Softbank), the sale of AS Software, a developer of mission-critical ultrasound reporting and digital imaging software to AEA Growth, the sale of Instec, a leading provider of cloud-based insurance software for P&C carriers, brokers and MGAs to Instec (a portfolio company of GI Partners), the sale of AIA Contract Documents, a scaled and highly profitable construction software business, to True Wind Capital.

Prior to joining Kroll, Corey worked at an LA based boutique investment bank (acquired by American Discovery Capital) advising tech and tech-enabled companies on mergers & acquisitions and raising capital. Corey started his career with EY in the Financial Services Advisory practice advising large asset managers including hedge funds and private equity / venture capital firms including Ares Management, OakTree Capital Management and Clearlake Capital Group.

Corey earned his BA in Political Science and Accounting from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He is a FINRA-registered representative and possesses Series 7, 79 and 63 licenses and is a Certified Public Accountant.
