FCA publish their approach to the Supervision of firms on 20 March 2014

March 24, 2014

The FCA has published helpful clarification of its approach to the Supervision of firms depending on which Conduct Classification the firm has been allocated. Firms classified as C1 are to receive the highest, most frequent and in-depth attention and C4s, at the opposite end of the risk spectrum, will receive correspondingly proportionately appropriate attention.

The key message here is that all firms will have some supervisory contact with the FCA at least once every four years which may result in an increase in attention for some firms. The publications are issued separately and by Conduct Classification.
