
Rick G. Schwartz joined Kroll (formerly Duff & Phelps) in 2005. He is a managing director in the Silicon Valley office and part of the firm’s Strategic Value Advisory practice. Rick has 30+ years of experience in providing valuation and strategic advisory services to clients in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, information technology, consumer products and other industries.
Rick’s areas of expertise include valuing R&D assets, intellectual property, and early stage businesses; developing and reviewing financial projections; designing and conducting market research and market strategy analyses; performing decision analyses and real option valuations to guide business strategy; and facilitating business strategy workshops. Rick provides litigation support and served as an expert in patent, tax, and other disputes.
Prior to joining Kroll, Rick was a managing director at Standard & Poor’s, a director at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, and a principal at Applied Decision Analysis, Inc.
Rick holds a Ph.D. in engineering-economic systems from Stanford University and a B.S. in civil engineering and B.A. in government from Cornell University.
