Giles Derry is the Global Head of Expert Services and is responsible for the strategy and operations of that business. He is also a member of the EMEA Management Committee. Prior to joining Kroll, Giles was the Chief Executive Officer of Blackrock Expert Services Group, which was acquired by Kroll in 2020.
Giles’ 17 years of experience as a successful private equity investor, initially at SandAire Private Equity and then at leading UK private equity house Dunedin, has involved a range of investments across a number of sectors. As a partner at Dunedin, Giles made the investment in Blackrock Expert Services, before joining the business in 2017.
Giles holds a degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Durham. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, having qualified at Arthur Andersen where he obtained a broad base of experience including audit, consulting and corporate finance advisory, and is also a former Chairman of the Corporate Finance Faculty, an industry body.
