Elena is experienced in the valuation of illiquid investments, and she excels working with Alternative Investment Fund Managers (AIFMs) clients, including private equity, private debt, infrastructure funds and real estate fund managers in Luxembourg and across the globe. She has over 12 years of experience in corporate finance and business advisory roles in Romania and Luxembourg.

Elena specializes in portfolio valuation and is proficient with business valuation, intangible assets and venture capital investments. She performs valuation engagements for financial reporting, mergers and acquisitions, tax planning, financing and contributions in kind.
Prior to joining Kroll, Elena was a Senior Manager in the Valuation, Modeling and Economics practice of EY in Luxembourg.
Elena is a member of the Business Valuation Board of the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC). She is also a founding committee member and board member of the Luxembourg Valuation Professionals Association (LVPA). Currently, she is acting as a valuation trainer for private equity and private debt courses at the House of Training by The Chamber of Commerce and the Luxembourg Bankers Association (ABBL).
She has published articles on various topics, including valuation governance, the impact of inflation on valuation and ESG criteria in valuation.
