Ed is the chief operating officer and chief compliance officer of the Government Solutions practice, with more than 15 years of experience in unclaimed property. He is a lead contributor in driving the strategic plan. He plays a critical role in the refinement, design, and integration of the service line, cross-team systems, processes, and collaboration to ensure alignment and increased operational efficiency and financial growth.

Ed is responsible for the direct management of day-to-day operations, including overseeing processes and staff. In addition, Ed monitors and prioritizes the progress of unclaimed property examinations to align with the expectations of state clients, developing internal procedures and workflows for compliance.

In addition, Ed supervises a team of attorneys and the legal activities of the practice to ensure compliance with state and federal contracts and regulations, as well as company agreements. He developed and implements Government Solutions’ information security program to exceed industry best practices.

Prior to the acquisition of Verus Analytics by Kroll in July 2020, Ed served as General Counsel and as the head of the firm’s information security program.

Ed holds a B.A. in criminology from the University of South Florida, a J.D. from Loyola Law School, and is admitted to both the Connecticut and California bar. He is also a certified ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, a Certified Insurance Examiner (CIE) and an Associate in Regulatory Compliance (AIRC). Additionally, he completed the Fellow Life Management Institute (FLMI) designation program and is certified in Market Conduct Management (MCM).
