Brett has extensive experience in business and portfolio valuations, damage quantifications and the preparation of expert reports in a variety of contexts including breach of contract matters, post-acquisition disputes, shareholder disputes and dissent matters, class actions, securities litigation, construction claims, intellectual property disputes and valuations. Brett regularly works on valuations of complex financial instruments requiring the use of statistical models and/or option pricing models.
Brett has worked across a wide range of industries including mining, oil and gas, insurance, cannabis, medical technology, and real estate and investment management.
Brett is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society of Toronto.
He holds a BBA from Lazaridis School of Business and Economics, Wilfrid Laurier University and a B.Math from the University of Waterloo.
