Steve Ellis is a Managing Director, for Stratigic Accounts based in New York. Steve is responsible for managing strategic relationships with financial institutions, sponsors, law firms, executive teams, and the broader ecosystem across Kroll's solutions.

With nearly 20 years of experience in capital markets—spanning public, private, and alternative sectors—Steve has a proven track record in business development, strategic advisory, and transaction execution. Before joining Kroll, he served as Senior Vice President and Regional Director at AST | D.F. King, where he led enterprise-wide growth initiatives and advised global issuers and their advisors on securities matters ranging from capital issuance and M&A to contested proxy campaigns and complex restructurings.

Beyond Kroll, Steve serves on the board of directors of a global natural catastrophe insurance carrier, bringing his expertise in risk management, corporate governance, and growth strategy to the insurance sector.

Recognized as an industry leader, Steve was named a 2017 M&A Advisor Emerging Leader and a 2023 YJP 40 Under 40 in Legal & Finance honoree. He is also actively involved in philanthropic efforts focused on mentorship of at-risk youth and community-building.
