Prior to joining the firm, Rahul was at Wellington Management and responsible for building and leading the company’s private investment valuation group. In addition to hiring talent and leading the team over the years, he specialized in providing analytical guidance on fundamental analysis and enterprise valuation for early-, mid- and late-stage businesses across sectors with complex deal structures and multiple corporate events (financings, M&A, divestitures, bankruptcies).
Rahul was also a primary contributor to the firm’s policy and procedures around the analysis of private investments. He was also a key spokesman on valuation-related topics in communication with clients, fund boards, auditors and internal stakeholders consuming the complex equity analysis. He has spent considerable time with regulators on topics related to private equity valuation practices, policies and procedures.
Before joining Wellington Management, Rahul was an investment banker with Wachovia Securities in the Technology M&A group. He also has extensive experience with emerging themes like sustainability and environmental, social and governance, especially around valuation implications.
Rahul holds an MBA in finance from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. He also holds an M.S. in chemical engineering from West Virginia University and a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi.
