Paul Britton is a Director in the Agency and Trustee Service Practice, based in London, where he brings more than 24 years of experience across the loan markets. His career spans the full spectrum of agency and trustee services, as well as direct participation as a lender and arranger within the syndicated loan space.

Over the course of his career, Paul has built a strong reputation for navigating some of the most complex and demanding financing structures in the market. His experience includes restructurings, refinancings, amendments, and bespoke multi-layered deal frameworks. He specializes in leveraged and acquisition finance and is recognized for managing high-stakes transactions with precision, clarity, and a collaborative approach that supports all stakeholders.

Before joining Kroll, Paul served as Head of the Acquisition Finance Business Analysis Team at Mizuho Bank in London. In that role, he worked closely with both Originations and Portfolio Management teams, overseeing transactions in which Mizuho acted as Arranger and/or Lender. His leadership helped ensure seamless execution, operational excellence, and strong risk oversight across a diverse portfolio of acquisition finance deals.

Earlier in his career, Paul held a variety of senior roles within top tier global banks, where he further developed his technical capabilities and market insight within agency and trustee functions. His broad exposure to international lending environments and complex capital structures has shaped him into a trusted adviser for clients navigating sophisticated financing arrangements.

Paul holds a bachelor’s degree from Abertay University.
