Juan Manuel Fonseca

Prior to joining Kroll, Juan Manuel was Director of Financial Expert Services practice at Global Project Strategy (GPS), a leading Latin American firm specializing in dispute resolution, contract administration and project planning and controls.

Throughout his career, he has focused on leading financial and commercial strategies, corporate restructuring and transformation, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in sectors such as infrastructure, healthcare, medical devices, and beverages, among others. He has also performed due diligence and corporate valuations for company acquisition transactions and led action plans for cash flow optimization.

Additionally, he has developed multiple economic and financial analyses related to assets and operations in the oil and gas, power generation, roads, and subway sectors, with a special emphasis on developing countries.

As Director of Financial Expertise, he has acted as a financial expert in dispute resolution for infrastructure projects and performed damages assessments.

Juan Manuel has acted as an expert in a complex dispute related to subcontractors on a metro infrastructure project in Latin America. The case involved substantial schedule delays and related cost overruns. He played a key role in analyzing the dispute alongside the client coordinating the technical and financial support required for the case.

Additionally, during his tenure at WSP, a Canadian consulting firm, Juan led the financial impact assessment of delays incurred during the design phase of the Bogotá Metro Project.

Juan holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the Universidad de los Andes (Colombia) and an MBA from the Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology - MIT, (Boston, Massachusetts). He is a finance specialist from the Universidad de los Andes (Colombia).
