Jens Richter

Jens leverages nearly 20 years of experience combining complex debt structuring and execution with the buildout and scaling of financing activities and platforms. He leads the growth of Kroll's Agency and Trustee Services business in Germany, acting as an independent, conflict-free partner to lenders and borrowers.

Prior to joining Kroll, Jens served as Head of Export and Credit Agency Finance for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Nordics at Santander Corporate and Investment Banking in Frankfurt. Before that, he held the title of Head of Export Finance for Germany, Austria and Switzerland at HSBC. Jens has also worked on the sponsor-side as Senior Finance Manager, Project Finance at a large-scale natural gas pipeline project, developing the financing strategy for a large cross-border infrastructure project. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers as Senior Underwriter for the German export credit agency. He has worked on landmark multibillion-dollar cross border financings across renewable energy, transport infrastructure, industrial and automotive projects.

Jens holds a master's degree in economics, geography and Eastern European history from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, supported by a scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation. He is fluent in German and English.
