Jake Ehrhardt is Director in the Expert Services practice, based in New York. He leverages more than eight years of experience providing expert and dispute consulting services to a broad range of clients, including law firms, corporations, insurance companies, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, law enforcement agencies and self-regulatory organizations.

Jake has served as an expert witness and advised clients on matters involving forensic accounting, economic damages and fraud investigations. He has extensive experience providing a broad range of forensic services, including internal corporate investigations, post-acquisition disputes, representations and warranties claims, neutral accountant determinations, economic damages analyses, accounting and auditor malpractice disputes and fraud and white-collar crime investigations.

Jake regularly leads engagement teams in preparing written expert reports and pre-litigation memoranda and frequently supports depositions, arbitrations, trials and presentations before corporate and regulatory audiences. He has significant experience advising clients on complex accounting matters, including U.S. GAAP and IFRS compliance, revenue recognition, inventory valuation and financial reporting issues. His practice focuses on helping clients investigate fraud and misconduct, quantify economic damages and assess financial issues arising in litigation, arbitration and regulatory proceedings.

Prior to joining Kroll, Jake was a member of KPMG’s Forensic Advisory Services practice, where he specialized in forensic investigations, post-merger and acquisition disputes, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) audits, commercial damages analyses and lost profits assessments.

Jake holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Stonehill College, graduating magna cum laude with a major in accounting and a minor in Arabic. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
