Carlos E. Sosa

Carlos leverages over 36 years of experience as an engineer and construction manager, specializing in dispute resolution for engineering and construction projects. His professional journey spans Colombia, Venezuela and the United States, with additional experience in various countries across Europe, Africa and Latin America.

Prior to joining Kroll, Carlos founded and managed Global Project Strategy (GPS), a leading firm in dispute resolution, contract management, planning and project control in Latin America. He led a multidisciplinary team of engineers to solve complex construction project issues across various sectors, including mining, oil refineries, power transmission, LNG facilities, oil and gas lines, cogeneration plants and electrical substations. Before that, Carlos served multiple companies across North and South America. He began his career at Perini Corporation in the U.S. and Aliva Stump in Venezuela, managing and developing construction projects.

At Kroll, Carlos is responsible for providing advice and dispute resolution in the construction and infrastructure sector in Latin America and the rest of the world. He advises owners, contractors and subcontractors in disputes and provides expert testimony in domestic and international arbitrations for clients, including private investors, investment funds, private equity, banking institutions and governments.

Carlos received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a master's degree in civil and environmental engineering, both from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
