Alok Das

Alok has significant experience in delay analysis, project controls and claims management of major capital projects. His consulting experience ranges from advising owners, developers and contractors on quantitative analysis and qualitative review of schedules, delay analysis, contractual claims management, project appraisal, dispute resolution and programme management of construction projects. He has advised clients across different sectors, including real estate, ports and airports, metro rail and railways, power plant, oil and gas, steel plant and various road and infrastructure projects.

Prior to joining Kroll, Alok was a Director at a Big Four firm in India, where he was part of the advisory services practice focusing on construction disputes. He assisted various construction companies and public sector undertakings in the analysis and preparation of claims arising from delays and cost overruns on construction projects. He also assisted in preparation of expert reports for arbitration proceedings.

Alok has extensive experience in the construction industry, working with major engineering, procurement and construction contractors in Bahrain, Qatar, India and the UK. Some of his notable accomplishments include performing delay analysis of a USD 55 million (mn) rail bridge project. He has also performed delay analysis and cost overrun investigation for a principal contractor executing civil works on a metro project in India. Alok also led a team to assist principal contractor in preparatory works for adjudication on a metro rail project in India.

Alok has received his post-graduation degree in Advanced Construction Management from the National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR) and his degree in Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Sardar Patel University, India. He has also received Level 3 National Vocational Qualification in construction contracting operations (planning) from the UK. Alok is a Chartered Project Management Surveyor and a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
