Alex Howden

Prior to joining Kroll, Alex worked at a global professional consultancy firm where he worked as a quantity surveyor gaining significant experience in cost planning, procurement, commercial management and contract administration functions.

Alex specializes in quantum expert services, providing independent opinion on contentious matters and independent advice on matters relating to quantum. Alex has assisted quantum experts in the preparation of expert reports for large disputes in international arbitrations and in adjudication matters in the UK.

He has worked across infrastructure, marine, building and energy sectors, where he has been involved in high-value disputes in arbitration involving termination, variations, suspension and delay quantum issues.

Alex holds an M.Sc. in construction law and dispute resolution with distinction from King’s College London. He also holds a first-class B.Sc. honors in quantity surveying from Anglia Ruskin University. Alex is a Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and has been admitted as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb).
