Dr. Timo Willershausen and Daniel Kittlauss, Managing Directors in Duff & Phelps’ Valuation Advisory Services practice in Germany, were recently invited by VentureCapital Magazin to discuss Portfolio Valuation and its importance in fundraising activities.
As three times as many investment funds are seeking capital as in 2018, according to the research house Preqin. In the article they said that effective fundraising, acceptable fund conditions, demonstrable track records and convincing strategies are of paramount importance for investors.
“Most institutional investors measure valuations based on fair value; this is the benchmark for risk management” said Timo and Daniel, who are convinced that “the NAV statement is the only thing institutional investors care about”.
