Julija Jarosevska

Julija has worked closely with clients, legal advisors and counsel in litigation, arbitration and expert determination proceedings, forensic investigations, regulatory compliance and non-contentious matters.

At Kroll, Julija has been involved in commercial and financial litigation and arbitration cases under the UK High Court and LCIA, ICC, ICSID, SIAC involving such exercises as quantification of damages (e.g., reproduction of historical performance, establishing the “but-for” scenario and assessing the opponent’s DCF model), developing a bespoke methodology to perform extensive data analytics under s.90 of Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (i.e., reviewing the movement of the shares and performing a mapping exercise of more than 200 claimants using external data), etc.

She has also worked on preliminary assessments, such as audit negligence assessment on behalf of the administrators of an insolvent estate, an assessment of suspected mismanagement of a portfolio by a bank and non-contentious work involving reviewing, summarising and interpreting extensive trade data in a project for a U.S. based hedge fund.

Prior to Kroll, Julija also performed fact-finding investigations, such as review of irregularities within the accounting records and investigations following whistleblower allegations. She was also involved in regulatory compliance and risk assessments for large water and utilities retail companies as well as fraud risk assessment for one of the UK publishing houses.

Julija is fluent in English and Russian and has basic knowledge of French and Latvian.

Julija has been ACA qualified by the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales (ICAEW) since 2016. She holds an M.Sc. in financial economics and a B.A. (Hons.) in international accounting.
