The two clients were not necessarily aligned. The management team would not participate in the proceeds unless Kroll achieved a fairly high valuation for the business. Against this backdrop, Kroll’s Investment Banking team went to work.

One of those international buyers had been identified through Kroll’s Mexico City office. That group ended up prevailing in the transaction process in a competitive auction.
