As the new Co-Lead for Business Transformation, Dominik Weiss settles into his new role at Kroll, we sat down with him to explore how he’s shaping transformation strategies globally, and why real change starts from the top floor, down to the shop floor.
A Global Perspective Rooted in Experience
Dominik’s international experience is a real differentiator. Having studied in the UK and Paris, and lived in Bangkok, Jakarta, Mexico City, Chicago and Virginia Beach for work, he’s learned how to adapt quickly to different cultures and business environments. “Every location has its own rhythm,” he says. “It’s about listening, learning and always staying curious.”
His ability to navigate diverse cultural settings enables him to lead transformation efforts across borders, ensuring Kroll’s strategies are tailored and impactful. This global footprint reinforces that Kroll’s transformation work isn't confined to Europe, it’s truly international.
From Advisor to Builder with Entrepreneurial Drive
Dominik began his career with Porsche Consulting, working in sectors such as automotive, retail and consumer goods. But early on, he felt the urge to move from advisor to builder. “I didn’t want to be just another consultant handing out long-term strategies,” he says. “I wanted to embed myself in businesses and help drive the change directly.” That mindset took him into private equity, and later to co-founding and rapidly scaling a transformation practice at another firm, a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit, which was one of the key reasons Kroll brought him on board.
From Top Floor to Shop Floor Living the Transformation
At Kroll, Dominik focuses on delivering results where they matter most: operations, cash flow and performance. The types of projects he leads such as footprint transformation or process redesign are complex, urgent and high stakes. “It’s about finding impact fast. We want to leave something measurable behind, something the client sees in their P&L or their KPIs,” he explains.
This is not a theory-first approach. Dominik’s team works side-by-side with clients, on-site and at the coalface of operations. “I’ve spent hours on a shop floor just to observe how things run. If I end up helping move a machine, that’s fine. I want to be part of the team.” That human approach starts early. His teams spend time interviewing staff, asking what causes stress and how the transformation can genuinely help. “We’re not there to add more work. We’re there to make people’s lives better.”
This approach, from the top floor to the shop floor, isn’t just how Dominik works with clients. It is how he builds internal team culture. “We dress the same, work the same hours and tackle the same messy tasks. That’s what earns buy-in,” he says.
Accelerating Results with AI and Supply Chain Innovation
Dominik sees tremendous opportunity in how AI can unlock new business value. Not as a digital buzzword, but as a practical tool for productivity and supply chain optimization. “We’re seeing the shift from experimentation to enterprise-wide execution. The companies that win will be the ones who can integrate AI with clear operational goals and governance structures,” he says.
His team backs its approach with deep research into available solutions. “We’ve built an internal database to track tools across the supply chain from design to deliver. But we’re also looking to expand this with market insights from our commercial operations team,” Dominik explains.
Beyond his work at Kroll, Dominik invests in ventures that reflect his values. One example is EcoNetix, a fast-growing company that sells carbon credits through planned reforestation. “I’m just an investor,” he says, “but I love supporting ideas that combine technology, impact and scale.”
Looking Ahead: Vision for Growth and Global Reach
Dominik’s vision for business transformation goes far beyond execution as it’s about scale, global reach and long-term value creation. He is focused on growing Kroll’s transformation business in terms of revenue and people, while leveraging the firm’s global platform to build strategic client relationships across markets.
“We’re not just delivering projects; we’re building a business,” he says. “And that means thinking globally about where our talent comes from, where our clients are, and how we bring the full power of Kroll to every engagement.”
Transformation with Purpose
His vision for transformation is simple: it’s not about labels or large-scale digital consulting, it’s about getting results, building trust and being part of the solution. “If we’re not delivering change that’s felt at every level of the business, we’re not doing enough.”
Dominik Weiss isn’t just driving transformation, he’s living it. And at Kroll, that means moving fast, working smart and staying shoulder-to-shoulder with both clients and colleagues.
