Prior to joining Kroll, Vikki helped found Haberman Ilett, which was acquired by Kroll in 2020.
Vikki specializes in evaluating quantum in commercial and contractual disputes (including loss-of-profits and misrepresentation claims) investment treaty, transaction-related and valuation disputes and works both advising parties and acting as expert on post-M&A transaction disputes.
She has advised clients in a wide range of industries, including technology, finance, construction, mining, energy, leisure, manufacturing and retail.
Vikki has extensive experience in all aspects of the dispute process, including giving pre-action advice, preparing expert witness reports, rebuttal reports, joint statements of the experts assisting counsel in preparing for and at hearings and giving oral testimony.
In recent years, Vikki has worked on a number of investment treaty disputes (under International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID)and United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) rules, acting on behalf of both the investor (including cases against Mauritius and Slovakia) and state (including Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Barbados and Venezuela).
Vikki holds a first-class degree in Mathematics, studying at both Leeds and Paris VII Universities. She trained as an auditor in a top 20 firm, gaining broad accounting experience across a wide range of industries. Vikki qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1997 and joined EY later that year to specialize in forensic accountancy. She left in July 2013 to help found Haberman Ilett.
She is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and former chair of the ICAEW Forensic and Expert Witness Community. She speaks publicly and provides training on topics including valuation, understanding financial statements and assessing quantum.”
