Sam Cole

Sam is a Director based in our Cayman office. Sam has 10 years of experience in complex and contentious restructuring, advisory and transaction engagements, advising key stakeholders across industries and with cross-border exposures.

Sam has worked throughout metropolitan and regional Australia and has significant experience across the mining and mining services, transport and logistics, FMCG, energy generation and retail, telecommunications infrastructure and services industries.

Sam recently negotiated the successful re-licensing of the Toys R Us brand out of insolvency in Australia, as well as managing the post-acquisition financial integration of large scale power generation assets for a leading ASX-listed Australian electricity generator and retailer and the post-merger integration of two premier Australian wealth management companies.

Prior to joining Borrelli Walsh (now Kroll), Sam has spent 9 years working in one of Australia’s leading insolvency and restructuring firms, where he was involved in numerous complex transactional advisory and restructuring engagements throughout Australia.

Sam is a Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia. Sam also completed the Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance (FINSIA) with a major of Corporate Finance and Advisory and the ARITA: Restructuring and Turnaround course.
