He has more than 10 years of experience in the valuation of business enterprises, intangible assets, employee share options and other financial instruments.

Prior to the acquisition of American Appraisal by Kroll in 2015, Ray served as Project Manager at American Appraisal. Before entering the valuation industry, he was pursuing a career as a tax consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

His valuation experience spans the electricity, entertainment, internet, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, real estate and telecommunication industries. Some of his notable clients include Alibaba, New World, China Aoyuan, PLDT, Hyva Group, Panasonic, China Distance Education and Tom Group.

Ray holds an M.Sc. in accounting and finance from London School of Economics and Political Science and a B.Sc. in actuarial science from The University of Hong Kong. He is a CFA and FRM charter holder and a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) and a member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA).
