Patrick Lum

Senior Vice President

Patrick Lum is a senior vice president in the Cyber Risk practice, based in the Singapore office. He has over 12 years of experience in various aspects of cyber security, including incident response services, digital forensics, data analytics, computer forensics and investigations.

Prior to joining Kroll, Patrick spent nearly eight years with JPMorgan Chase, Singapore. As one of the earliest members of the Singapore Cybersecurity team, he was instrumental in establishing the security operations center in Singapore, including training new hires and establishing playbooks for responding to security incidents. In his last position, he was in charge of the Asia Pacific Digital Forensics and Incident Response team, where he led investigations into a broad range of incidents within the bank, ranging from internal employee misconduct to cyber security attacks.

Before joining JPMorgan Chase, Patrick was a senior consultant with Verizon Enterprise Services, where he was part of the Investigative Response team based in Singapore. He has been involved in several high-profile data breach investigations and has collaborated with law enforcement agencies across multiple jurisdictions. Patrick began his career in cyber security with Deloitte & Touche, Singapore, where he was responsible for computer forensics examinations, eDiscovery and data analytics within the Southeast Asia region.

Patrick holds a B.Sc. in information security, network administration and design from Edith Cowan University. Additionally, he is a Splunk Certified Power User, a GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and an Accessdata Certified Examiner (ACE).
