
Neo Lam is an associate managing director in the Kroll Cyber Risk, based in Hong Kong.
Neo leverages over 12 years of experience in assisting clients with cyber forensics, incident response, and computer forensics investigation and litigation support.
As the APAC Head of Incident Response and Digital Forensic Investigations for Kroll, Neo is responsible of building and maintaining APAC internal resources to deal with various type of client incidents in this region.
Prior to joining Kroll, Neo was Head of Digital Forensics Investigations for the Hong Kong government agency. Before that, he held the titles of Application Analyst at JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Product Analyst at Global Payments Inc.
With extensive experience working for the Government of Hong Kong, Neo led multiple teams conducting enterprise-scale digital forensics and incident response across different domains, including government departments, banks, technology companies and retail industries. He played a vital role in establishing the digital forensics investigation strategy and designed the architecture of the Digital Forensic Complex for the local law enforcement agency. He also acted as the information security manager of the essential case management system, managing the cybersecurity measures, including endpoint detection and response (EDR), security information and event management (SIEM) and risk governance, securing the accreditation of ISO27001 for years.
Neo received a bachelor’s degree in Information Engineering from the University of Hong Kong and a master’s degree in computer/information technology, administration and management from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Additionally, Neo holds the following certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO), Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE), GIAC Network Forensic Analyst (GNFA), X-Ways Professional in Evidence Recovery Techniques (X-PERT) , and Meiya-Certified Examiner.
