
Dr Markus Salge is a senior director in the Expert Services practice, based in Frankfurt. Markus leverages more than 13 years of experience in advising clients in international arbitration, litigation and out-of-court settlement. He has worked with clients across a range of industries, including defense, civil construction, photovoltaics, semi-conductor and financial services, across Europe, the U.S. and the Middle East.
Prior to joining Kroll, Markus served as Senior Director at Alvarez & Marsal’s Dispute and Investigations practice in Germany. Before that, he spent four years in Greenwood Strategic Advisors and in the Decision Science and Dynamic Simulation group of PA Consulting Group.
During his career, Markus has been involved in large and complex damage assessments, such as the assessment of delays and disruptions on a high-profile civil construction project with potential damages in the single-digit billions of euros. He has been appointed as an expert on matters of quantum in international arbitration proceedings under the rules of the ICC and ICSID. Markus is an active contributor to academic journals and societies. He is also a lecturer in system dynamics for civil engineers at the Hamburg University of Technology.
Markus holds a doctorate in business (Dr. rer. pol.) and a graduate degree in business (Diplom-Kaufmann) from the University of Mannheim.
