
Mark Farley is an associate managing director in the Cyber Risk business of Kroll, based in Singapore. He has over 13 years of experience in helping clients with cybersecurity matters, and his key areas of expertise include guiding clients through major cyber incident responses by providing incident management and strategic support and leading complex cybersecurity assessments which are tailored to client needs, such as Red Team, Purple Team and Advisory Simulation engagements.
Prior to joining Kroll, Mark held cybersecurity roles in intelligence and defense for the UK government in addition to a five-year stint in the cybersecurity consulting arm of a Big Four firm. His previous engagements have included acting as virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) on the management board of listed technology and fintech firms and global manufacturing corporates to implement systemic improvements and build up permanent in-house cybersecurity capabilities. He has also acted for buyers and financial sponsors on time-sensitive cybersecurity due diligence exercises in connection with high-value corporate mergers and acquisitions, with specialist experience in where the target has been the subject of cyber breaches or ransomware.
Mark holds a Master of Science in software and systems security from the University of Oxford and a Master of Engineering in computer systems engineering from the University of Bristol. He also holds a SABSA Chartered Security Architect – Foundation Certificate (SCF) and is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
