Joseph Shalhoub is a managing director in the Alternative Asset Advisory practice, based in Morristown. He leverages more than 15 years of valuation experience in financial reporting and tax valuations for public and private entities.

Joseph specializes in advising a wide range of alternative asset managers, including hedge funds, private equity firms and business development companies on valuing their positions in term loans, subordinated and mezzanine debt, convertible debt and common and preferred equity. Joseph also has extensive experience in executing valuations of businesses and their underlying securities and intangible assets for tax, financial reporting and strategic planning purposes.

Prior to joining Kroll, Joseph served as a valuation manager at Ernst & Young, LLC. There, he was responsible for valuing entities, intangible assets and equity securities across a broad range of industries with a focus on privately held common and preferred equity securities in early-stage companies. Before that, he held the title of manager at CBIZ Valuation Group, LLC, where he focused on financial reporting and tax valuations for publicly traded and privately held businesses.

Joseph also serves on the Board of Directors as treasurer for Mukti Mission US, a non-profit focused on serving underprivileged women and children in India.

Joseph received a B.S. in finance from The College of New Jersey - and holds both a Certified in Entity and Intangible Valuations™ (CEIV) credential an Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credential, and an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation.
