
Jeff Mastalski is an associate managing director in the Cyber Risk practice, based in Secaucus. Jeff leverages 17 years of law enforcement and digital forensics experience in assisting clients in investigations and incident response.
Prior to joining Kroll, Jeff served in the FBI’s Philadelphia Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory (PHRCFL). In this role, he was a forensic examiner of digital evidence in criminal investigations. Before that, he served as a police officer for the Philadelphia Police Department. Jeff has testified in an extensive number of criminal court cases over the span of his law enforcement career and has led numerous investigations involving complex litigation, insider threat, ransomware and business email compromise.
In addition to his role at Kroll, Jeff previously served as an adjunct instructor at both Neumann University and the Community College of Philadelphia. He also taught computer forensics in Neumann University’s graduate program. Currently, he teaches justice courses at the Community College of Philadelphia.
Jeff holds an M.S. and a B.A. in criminal justice from Saint Joseph’s University. He also holds a number of cyber security certifications, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), GIAC Certified Law of Data Security & Investigations (GLEG) and GIAC Certified Network Forensic Analyst (GNFA).
