Jean-Francois Minier is a managing director in the Business Intelligence and Investigations practice of Kroll, based in Tokyo, Japan. Jean-Francois is a multilingual achiever with three decades of leadership experience in global financial and industrial firms, principally in Tokyo and London. 

With more than 20 years of experience in bulge-bracket global financial firms in London and Tokyo, Jean-Francois has successfully managed investment banking, asset management, trading and sales professional cross-border teams across multiple locations, mainly in Europe and Asia. 

At Kroll, he is responsible for managing and executing complex projects ranging from business intelligence, transactional due diligence to compliance, fraud and disputes investigations. He is also responsible for managing client relationships with both Japanese and international clients in Japan. 

Prior to this, he was Corporate Projects Director, Asia, at United Company RUSAL, which is one the largest (and greenest) producer of aluminium, aluminium products, alumina and bauxite in the world. Jean-Francois has also led the Asian activities of Moore Group Ltd., a leading fund governance and administration company headquartered in Jersey (Channel Islands). His previous appointments include CEO Asia-Pacific for Dresdner Kleinwort and senior trading positions at Morgan Stanley Japan and Natwest Securities. He has advised directly and indirectly many large multinational companies, such as Buhler AG or Renault SA, on Japanese matters.

He is a former member of the Japan Association of Corporate Executives; a former vice chairman of the European Business Council in Japan and a member of the Bretton Woods Committee. He is also a non-executive trustee at the Ueno Gakuen Educational Foundation in Tokyo.

Jean-Francois has specialized in financial mathematics at the School of Engineering of Ecole Polytechnique, Paris. He is a native French speaker and is fluent in Japanese and English.
