Jason is a director based in the Shanghai office. He has extensive experience advising international banks and investors on a wide range of cross-border distressed lending and investment.

In recent years, Jason has been regularly engaged by financial institutions in a series of complicated cross-border non-contentious sale of NPLs, restructuring and claiming of debts. He also advises clients in various contentious situations regarding regulatory compliance, debt recovery and replacement of management.

Jason has served as directors to manage PRC companies through receivership appointed by creditors or offshore courts in industries including real estate development, construction, chemical engineering manufacturing, education and etc.

Prior to joining Borrelli Walsh (now Kroll), Jason has worked in the Hong Kong branch of a leading PRC policy bank and has served as interim PRC Head of Legal of a major European Bank. He has also worked in other leading PRC law firms in Shanghai and has been recognized as Rising Star (Banking) by IFLR 1000 in 2020 and 2021.

Jason speaks Mandarin, English and Cantonese.
