James Moore is an associate managing director with Kroll's Security Risk Management practice, based in the New York office. James has an extensive and varied operational and administrative background with over 42 years of experience in the security industry, where he has worked with various design disciplines and suppliers to provide security design and installation for bank branches, money centers, data centers, and high-rise and campus office complexes around the world. Since joining Kroll, James has provided consulting, project management, and design services for a variety of clients for the development of comprehensive security programs and projects encompassing aviation/transportation, corporate and financial, healthcare, education, communications, entertainment, retail, manufacturing, multi-use/multi-tenant high-rise properties, and executive residences.
Prior to joining Kroll, James was Director of Physical Security for Webvan Group, Inc. There he was responsible for developing policies, standards, strategies, and programs to assess security vulnerabilities, mitigate risk, and support the overall goals of the business. In addition, James worked closely with various departments to design and construct distribution centers, customer service centers, and corporate office complexes.
Before Webvan, James spent 23 years with Citicorp/Citibank. He ultimately attained the position of Vice President, in charge of global physical security planning and programs administered in over 90 countries. His responsibilities included the development of physical security policies and procedures, threat/risk assessments, administration, training programs, special events planning, and senior officer security programs.
James has a varied and diverse security consulting background. He has conducted numerous security assessments resulting in recommendations that effectively mitigate risk and enhance the security posture at client facilities. In addition, James has extensive experience in security risk management, conducting threat and vulnerability assessments, security policy and procedure review and development, security master planning and security program evaluations.
James has provided security systems consulting and design expertise for a substantial number of projects encompassing aviation/transportation, corporate and financial institutions, commercial and retail, healthcare, education, museums, multi-use/multi-tenant high-rise properties and executive residences.
