

Jacques Giard
Jacques Giard is a managing director and leader of the Transaction Advisory Services practice in France, based in the Paris office. In addition, he serves as the Country leader and sits on the EMEA Management Committee. Jacques leverages more than 24 years of experience in his field and established the firm's Transaction Advisory Services practice in France in September 2017.
Prior to joining the firm, Jacques was a partner and Group Head of Transaction Advisory Services at Mazars which covered over 80 countries. Before that, he began his career with Ernst & Young in Paris, then New York. His career encompasses 11 years in New York, USA.
Jacques' transaction advisory experience includes projects from a variety of in industries including, financial services, real estate and infrastructure, energy, manufacturing (metals, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, aeronautics, automotive, consumer goods), media and entertainment, advertising, software, e-business, technology, as well as agribusiness, food and beverages.
Jacques is often involved in large cross-border transactions. His experience comprises many major sell-side projects including exit strategies from large manufacturing sites by global corporations involving extensive carve-out work, disposals of private equity held investments, and complex buy-side transactions (sizable transactions involving many countries and operational complexities, situations of financial distress and investments in emerging regions).
Jacques is a graduate of the EDHEC Business School, holds a Graduate Diploma in Accounting and Finance (DESCF) and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
