
Jacco Brouwer is a managing director and leader of the European Debt Advisory practice, based in the London office. Jacco leverages more than 27 years of experience in banking and finance and has significant expertise advising private equity and corporate clients on debt raisings and refinancings. He has a particular focus on leveraged buyout loans, growth and acquisition finance and asset-backed loans.
Drawing on his extensive experience, Jacco helps clients identify competitive sources of finance and oversees the debt structuring and negotiation process to secure successful outcomes for clients. In addition to helping clients raise debt, Jacco also works closely with the Restructuring Advisory practice at Kroll to help companies find new funding from sources beyond their existing lenders. He also has advised clients on covenant resets and debt restructurings.
Prior to joining the firm, Jacco served as head of debt advisory at global business advisory firm AlixPartners. Before that, he was one of the co-founding partners at Versatus Advisers, a London-based debt advisory and restructuring boutique. Prior to that, he ran ABN AMRO’s European Leveraged Finance team in London, where his team arranged and underwrote senior, mezzanine and high-yield financings for leveraged buyouts and corporate borrowers across Europe. Earlier in his career, he ran ABN AMRO’s Infrastructure Finance team in the UK.
Jacco received a master's degree, cum laude, in business economics from Groningen University.
