Greg Chianetta is a Managing Director in the Alternative Asset Advisory practice, based in London. Greg joined Kroll in 2020 from a structured credit hedge fund and brings over a decade of structured products and financial instruments investing and advisory experience.

Greg works with investment managers that deploy capital into strategies across aviation and hard assets, structured credit, esoteric assets, and complex financial instruments. His experience as a buy-side investor and sell-side deal structurer provides the basis for Kroll’s valuation and advisory services for illiquid and hard-to-value investments throughout Europe and the U.S.

Greg partners with fund managers and financial institutions to assist with:

  • Valuation of structured, illiquid investments and complex assets
  • Valuation and capital markets advisory over aviation, shipping, and transportation investments
  • Valuation of bespoke or distressed private investments
  • Capital structure advisory and returns scenario analyses for esoteric collateral types
  • Model validation, model development, and portfolio analytics

The primary focus of Greg’s work is assisting financial institutions’ investment, finance, and risk teams in solving complex challenges arising from changing capital markets and nuanced investment types. Greg is a regular speaker at aviation and structured products conferences and is a contributing author to global investment industry periodicals.

Before joining Kroll, Greg served on the investment team of Clavis Investment Group, a structured credit hedge fund focused on the junior piece of the capital structure in aviation, transportation, and esoteric securitizations. Prior to joining Clavis, Greg advised public and private companies on capital raising and asset structuring in the investment banking group of Brean Capital, a fixed-income-focused investment bank. Greg holds a B.S. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
