Donia Fahmi

Donia has assisted appointed delay and programming experts in providing consulting services on a wide range of projects including airports, commercial developments, and power stations across different project phases including design, procurement and construction. Having worked on a wide range of UK and international projects, her international arbitration and adjudication experience on construction delay matters has been focused on high-rise mixed use development projects in UK, Asia, and Middle East.

Prior to joining Kroll, Donia was a Managing Consultant at Blackrock Expert Services, which was acquired by Kroll in 2020 and has worked in both the London and Dubai offices.

Donia commenced her career working as a Claims Consultant/ Contracts Engineer in the Middle East and was involved in an extended range of commercial and contractual issues including the preparation of extension of time claims, and drafting, risk assessment and negotiation of contracts before working in London in the Expert Services industry. Her experience covers both bespoke and standard forms of contracts with a focus in FIDIC contracts. Furthermore, she has managed projects with responsibilities in diverse project stages from tendering to project delivery. Donia now applies this experience and knowledge in the international arbitration and adjudication field.

Donia holds a first-class BSc. in Construction Engineering and Management and a MSc. in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution from King’s College London. She was awarded numerous prizes including the King’s College Construction Law Association (KCCLA) prize for best performance, the Philip Ranner - Arbitration Club Prize, and the King’s College London Centre of Construction Law ‘David Caron’ prize. She is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and is fluent in both English and Arabic.
