
David Lee is a managing director in the Transaction Opinions practice and is based in the firm’s New York and London offices. David has over 15 years of experience in advising companies, boards of directors, special committees, limited partner advisory committees, corporate counsel, trustees, and shareholders.
David specializes in the execution of transaction opinions and valuations in the context of mergers & acquisitions, private placements, and recapitalization transactions. He has provided fairness and/or solvency opinions in a variety of public and private company transactions, including GP-led secondary recapitalizations, take-privates, leveraged buyouts, reverse mergers, tender offers, related-party transactions, spin-offs, capital raises, dividend recapitalizations, and de-SPAC transactions.
David’s clients represent a broad range of industries including software, healthcare, aerospace and defense, transportation & logistics, consumer products, telecommunications, media, and manufacturing, among others. Along with numerous corporate clients, he has executed engagements for private equity and hedge fund clients including Apollo, Blackstone, Carlyle, Fortress, KKR & Co., Leonard Green & Partners, Oaktree, and Summit Partners, among others.
David received his M.B.A. in finance from the Fordham Graduate School of Business and B.S. in finance from The Pennsylvania State University. David holds the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Series 7 and 63 licenses. David also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”) designation.
