David Herr

David Herr is a managing director in the Transaction Opinions practice in Kroll Corporate Finance focused on delivering fairness opinions, solvency opinions and other related board advisory solutions with an emphasis on the energy sector. David is also integral to the firm’s efforts to expand its investment banking services to its extensive fund client base. David is based in Philadelphia.

Prior to joining Kroll (Corporate Finance/Investment Banking), David served as Kroll’s Chief Revenue Officer for four years where he implemented strategies to increase organic revenue growth and accelerate commercial integration of Kroll’s acquisitions. In this capacity, he led cross-service and joint-service strategies and helped new managing directors across the entire firm achieve commercial success.

Previously, David was also the global leader of the Energy and Mining industry group for more than a decade. He has over 25 years of experience with the firm, starting with the Valuation Advisory Services business within Coopers & Lybrand LLP. In that capacity, David spoke at numerous industry conferences, including Platt’s Global Power Markets Conference and the InfoCast Solar Power Finance & Investment Summit.

David holds a B.S. in finance from Villanova University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and the Financial Analysts of Philadelphia. He holds FINRA Series 63 and Series 79 licenses. Prior to his valuation career, David was a pitcher with the Montreal Expos baseball organization.
