Brendan Hanratty is a managing director in our Restructuring Advisory practice, based in the Dublin office. Brendan leverages more than 20 years of corporate advisory services experience advising clients on strategic financial issues, debt raising and structuring and corporate restructuring situations.

Prior to joining Kroll (Duff & Phelps rebranded as Kroll in 2021), Brendan commenced his career at Allied Irish Banks (AIB), working on debt structuring for some of the bank’s largest clients with regards to senior, junior, mezzanine and syndicated debt. During his time at AIB, Brendan ran a team managing a portfolio of €4bn.

Brendan has worked on numerous complex advisory and restructuring assignments across all sectors. Brendan’s role is focused on providing clear, independent advice on financial and operational matters that enable and support clients through projects and transactions. He has amassed significant experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams through complex transactions, particularly in the property and SME sectors. Brendan has a wide network of contacts throughout the banking and finance industry in Ireland to draw upon, and his long banking career gives him unique insights in this regard.

Brendan received a master’s in accounting and economics from Queen’s University Belfast and is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
