Ben specializes in advising asset managers, including some of the largest business development companies, hedge funds, private equity firms and venture capital firms on valuing their illiquid debt and equity investments. His experience includes the valuation of senior and subordinated debt, convertible debt instruments, distressed debt, complex equity securities and common equity securities in companies operating across a wide range of industries. In addition, Ben has experience in performing valuations of businesses and their underlying securities and intangibles for tax, financial reporting and strategic planning purposes.
Ben also has performed valuations for impairment testing (ASC Topic 350), stock-based compensation (ASC Topic 718) and valuations of limited partnership and general partnership interests for estate and gift tax purposes.
Ben holds a BSBA in both finance and accounting from Ohio State University.
