Prior to joining Duff & Phelps' (rebranded as Kroll), Ben served as a director at Dubai Government, wherein he set-up a new capital projects audit team with a remit to perform independent project reviews across a broad range of government construction projects. Before that, he was Director and Head of Capital Projects at Deloitte in Dubai. During this time, Ben advised clients across Europe and the Middle East on optimizing the outcome of their projects, prioritizing capital expenditure, implementing PMOs, avoiding disputes, and auditing and monitoring projects. He has also held senior positions at Mace UK in the initial years of his career, leading construction/real estate projects across London. Ben’s notable clients include local family office groups and more widely known entities, including Meraas, Dubai Holding, SAMA, Qatar National Bank, Standard Chartered and Bank Muscat. He has been featured in Bloomberg, TheNational.ae and Construction Week. He has also spoken at various conferences, including HSBC Project Finance conference, MEED Projects conference and those held by the British Business Group (BBG).
Ben received a master’s degree in construction law and project management from the University of Greenwich. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in geography and a postgraduate degree in law. Additionally, he holds a certificate in construction auditing from National Association of Construction Auditors (NACA) and is a member of the Association for Project Management (APM). He is also a member of the Society of Construction Law and the BBG, Middle East.
