

Andrew Probert
Andrew Probert is a managing director in the Growth Team, based in the London office where he is the Deputy City Leader. Andrew leads Kroll’s EMEA business development, enterprise sales and account management strategy, and also our environmental, social and governance (ESG) advisory services in EMEA. He has over 20 years of experience working on a range of client engagements involving corporate transactions, accounting structuring, and ESG projects.
In his role, Andrew is a trusted advisor to clients, assisting them through Kroll’s breadth of solutions to stay ahead of complex challenges and opportunities in the areas of governance, risk and growth. Andrew also assists clients to create sustainable value and manage risk through greater ESG transparency where he leads our ESG advisory services in EMEA including ESG policies and procedures, ESG due diligence, ESG reporting and sustainability accounting standards.
Andrew previously was a managing director in our Transaction Advisory Services practice. He has worked extensively with private equity firms and companies across a range of industries on corporate transactions including includes M&A, securitizations (traditional and synthetic), debt-to-equity swaps, capital reorganization, returns of value, exit strategies including initial public offerings and joint venture arrangements.
Andrew also led Kroll’s global accounting structuring offering for financial buy-side and vendor due diligence engagements across many industries and geographies. He has advised clients on complex accounting and practical issues for financial instruments under IFRS and IFRS conversions for a number of companies and financial institutions.
Prior to joining Kroll, Andrew was an associate partner at Ernst & Young (EY) where he was the European head of transaction structuring and technical accounting, focused on designing optimal deal structures and delivering deal value for a wide range of clients and industries. He also spent over 14 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
Andrew is a subject matter expert on ESG policies and due diligence; EGS monitoring and reporting; sustainable value creation; Transaction Structuring and Business Combinations; and Structured Products and Financial instruments. His work often involves liaising with senior client management, other advisors, corporate lawyers and legal counsel.
Andrew holds a bachelor’s degree in maths with accounting from the University of Exeter and is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
